Chris Durham, DVM

Chris attended the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma for two years. Here he majored in Pre-Veterinary Biology. During his time at the University of Tulsa, he was inducted into the Beta Beta Beta Biology Honor Society. He then transferred to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma majoring in Pre-Veterinary Animal Science. Here, he was inducted into the Gamma Sigma Delta Animal Science Honor Society as well as the Lantern Society.

After only three years of undergraduate studies, Chris Durham was accepted into the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. A Bachelor of Science was received after the first year of vet school. While achieving honor roll in vet school, he also participated in the National Institute of Health Summer Research Intern Program as well as maintained a Research Assistant position in the OSU Equine Sports Medicine Lab. Dr. Durham has authored two publications as well as received acknowledgement in two additional publications. The Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree was instilled on May, 1997.

Upon graduation, Dr. Durham applied his veterinary skills with Abilene Veterinary Clinic in Abilene, Texas. After only ten months of employment, he was promoted to management of Abilene Animal Hospital, a branch practice where he achieved the status of Who's Who in American Business. While in Abilene, he established an ethic of continually placing an emphasis on and devotion to compassionate medical care through client education, utilization of necessary diagnostic tools, and thorough treatment. Dr. Durham has achieved skills in companion pet as well as exotic small mammal and reptile medicine and surgery.

Dr. Durham established Animal Health Centre in August of 2001. Here, he continues to practice the highest quality compassionate care.
